Keep Tabs on Your Jewelry Collection During an Overnight Business Trip

Posted on: 20 February 2020

One of your standard business trips may involve you switching your outfits and jewelry regularly, depending upon what type of function you will be attending. If your last overnight trip resulted in you losing one of your valuable diamond earrings, you may be concerned about how you are going to pull off your next scheduled event without incurring a loss. Prepare your outfits and the jewelry that you will be bringing along with you, plus take security precautions to assist with keeping tabs on all of your possessions.

Select Specific Pieces and Use Jewelry Boxes and a Lock Box

Look through your wardrobe and jewelry collection to select pieces that will work together. During a formal occasion, you will likely want to wear your more expensive jewelry, while during relaxation functions, you can either opt to wear no jewelry or choose a basic pair of hoops or studs to adorn your ears with. Even if your jewelry collection is extensive, you do not need to bring the whole lot along with you on your meeting.

Select one or two pairs of your finest earrings and vow to leave the others home. Choose earrings that are classy, yet fairly basic in both color and design, so that the jewelry will complement just about any outfit that you choose to wear. Place each set of earrings inside of a small cushioned jewelry box. Use a lock box to store all of the jewelry.

Invest in a Jewelry Set

If the loss of your diamond earring has you concerned about bringing other fine jewelry pieces along on a business trip, invest in a jewelry set that is less valuable than what you already own. The set can be designated as the jewelry that you wear solely for business purposes. If many earrings are included in your purchase, you won't be too upset if you accidentally lose one or two earrings while away. Pack the set inside a bag that contains a lined interior.

Make a Checklist

Don't wait until right before you are due to leave to pack your vehicle. Get ready in advance and make a checklist that corresponds to your luggage. Write down the bag type and what is stored inside of each one to assist with keeping track of your clothing and accessories. Upon checking in to your hotel room, place valuables inside of the built-in wall safe that has been provided for your use.
